Why didnt the Master turn into vamp dust when Buffy killed him?
Does anyone know?

Also when he meets Buffy he tells her that she was prettier than the last one. How would he have known this? He was stuck in The Hellmouth. The only thing I can think of is that one of his loyal servants bought her to the Hellmouth - and he saw her there. That means that there would have been a Slayer already in Sunnydale just before the Buffster was called.

Any theories?

It's also possible that The Master was refering to the last slayer he had seen and not the one before Buffy.

He didnt turn to dust completely because he was the oldest vamp on record and his bones had hardened.
