What do you guys think would happen if Joyce were alive in The Gift? Would anything be different?

I am not sure that Buffy would have been quite as willing to sacrifice herself. I cant explain why its just a feeling.
If she hadnt have died Glory would have probably got her hands on her and hurt her.
One thing that bothard me was that I would have thought Buffy would have met up with Joyce in Heaven when she died. She never spoke about her mom. Joyce would have gone to Heaven - right?

If Joyce was still alive in the Gift, Glory would be pissed that she hadn't done something more to enrage the Slayer, and Buffy would probably ship her to Costa Rica until after the apocalypse. Buffy dies and noone else knows where in coasta rica joyce is, and Joyce can't find her way home, so she remains unseen in Season Six. However, a good ending to this would be tohave Joyce pull up to the Scoobies in a car right after Sunnydale disappears and say, "Buffy Anne Summers, what have you done now?"
